    Great PV Century!

Hats off to the century organizing folks, volunteers and all involved for a great ride.

Smooth online registration/confirmation processs, course was gorgeous, rest stops well-placed and well-stocked, fun volunteers, happy moto-guys and killer meal at the end. Those brownies at the finish each easily contained as many calories as burned during 100 miles!

Stokes of genius: Full run of the very nice Hawthorn Club and the best iced-down watermelon I've ever had. Congrats!

Thanks for the feedback, Marc! Of course huge thanks to you for an awesome logo for the event as well!

Be on the lookout for a survey to solicit feedback on the event from all who attended!

Congrats to all those who braved the wind and heat this year, and also thanks to the team that put everything together. Even though I could not ride this year I'm glad I made it out to hang out at the Banks rest stop. Thank you very much to Malcolm & Melanie for giving me a ride out.

The support was great all through the ride.  The two guys on the motor cycles were life savers providing water.  The iced foot bath at the third stop really recharged me for the final 18 miles.  The tail wind did not hurt either.

I just want to thank all the volunteers that helped put on the PV Century. I had a great ride and appreciated the mobile support while on the route.

The heat and wind were brutal but it was a good ride overall, and having the end be at the athletic club was a great idea! Lets hope that next year is 10-15 degress cooler...

A most excellent event. Thanks to all the organizers and volunteers. Motorcycle support? For a moment I felt like I was riding in the Tour de France.

    Re: Great PV Century!

Thanks for everyone who has filled out the survey questionairre about the event.  A few people suggested that we open the event to other clubs and/or to the public to make some money, but this is not as easy as it sounds.  There are permits involved, and handlnig that many more riders involves having many more volunteers.  These events don't generally make money for our club, the food, etc. costs money so we operate as best we can to provide a great ride for everyone.  Also we did try to invite other clubs to make it a true "Club" century, but we didn't get a response from the clubs we contacted, so apparently there wasn't any interest from them in participating.

I should have added a question about the best part of the ride!  For me it was rounding the corner around Hagg Lake - Aleson and I saw a Mama doe - missing her right front leg - actually running on 3 legs, followed by two babies - Bambi!  So sad and cute at the same time. Nature can be pretty amazing.

No, just did 80 miles (of the 70 mile course, with one wrong turn adding 10 miles)!
