I concur- that was an absolutely fantastic ride!! I rode w/ the 17's, as I haven't gotten my form back yet, and had an absolute blast. I had no idea there were such idyllic quiet roads in Portland "proper"!
This was my first ride w/ the club in probably 4+ months and what a day to ride! Absolutely beautiful... It's also the first time I've ridden w/ PV from Longbottoms where the ride went East...!
My wife, Tina, also rode w/ the club for her very first time. I was a bit nervous for her, since she hasn't had the pleasure of climbing up to Skyline before, but apparently she rode up like a trooper. :) (Probably all that hauling of 30-40 pounds of groceries!!) I was also worried about her stamina, since she hasn't done a lot of longer rides, but she did fine. She said she was sore- but then, so was I, lol! She said Lynn did a fantastic job leading the 15's (which mirrors my experience w/ Lynn as a ride leader when I first rode w/ the club a year ago).
Most importantly, she had such a great time that she looks forward to doing it again. Thanks everyone for a awesome route, great leaders and wonderful riding companions.
