11/15 Holly route map- lacking typical turn details

    Feedback to ride leaders/ coordinator-

HH map details show turns as North (N),South (S), East(E), West(W). This just doesnt cut it. If someone gets lost viewing the map is challenging- knowing your (sense) of direction nearly impossible.

    Recommendation:

Edit the route turn instructions to show typical x- cross, L-left, R-right. Does someone have Abobe edit capability? Perhaps convert into Word- edit convert back into Adobe format?

The cue sheet I pulled up from the link has turn directions that use Left, Right and Straight - I am not sure which one you are looking at - my only quibble would be that the cue sheets should just use a single upper case letter (L, S, R, etc.) rather than narrative like "turn left" - one big letter is easier for these old eyes to read . . .

Geez.. thats too funny. Your right. Hmm. Can't blame the "beer"- only had one. Nor can I say I was up late when I posted this...

KRhea may demote me to the back of the pack!

If I was suggesting, I'd suggest removing all the extra words, and stick to the generally agreed abbreviations:

L, R, S, X (cross), BL, BR (bear left, bear right, alternatively VL, VR, where V is veer).

The "on" and "on to" are similarly redundant.

Other cue sheets I've seen have also included SS (stop sign), SL (stop light), and T (T intersection) as additional directional cues.

The older eyes also request a bigger font :-)

DeanO, consider yourself demoted!  Not to the back either...off the back of the pack!

Nawww.  The best way to punish him is to have him set the pace!

And find the route, with directions in hand!

He set the pace quite well. Until we hit the hills, that is . . . :-)
